Motivize is an Android mobile app, developed in Android studio and coded in Java. With an emphasis on meaningful gamification, Motivize promotes productivity and creates intrinsic motivation to help users better themselves. Motivize was created for a module at university and will be released to the Google Play store in the near future.
Meaningful gamification is the core principle of Motivize. It is vital to provide intrinsic rewards and gratification to users if we really want to help them increase their productivity and motivation.
The design of Motivize is derived from the gamification aspect of the app. 80s arcade games have some of the most visually unique and interesting designs in the gaming world. This design reinforces the gamification elemnts of the app while keeping it fun and interesting to use.
